Liberty School District                                           Student Accident Insurance Policy Information

The Liberty School District strives to provide a safe environment for all students during educational and recreational activities. However, unexpected accidental injuries can often occur while participating in school classes, sports and other school activities.

Missouri school districts are not required by law to provide accident insurance coverage or pay for student's medical expenses due to school accidents. Parents are ultimately responsible for providing medical insurance or paying for their children's medical costs. However, as a public service, the Liberty School District purchases a student accident insurance policy that may help families pay for some of the medical expenses incurred by students due to school related accidents. The policy has limited benefits and does not guarantee that all medical expenses resulting from school accidents will be paid partially or in full by the school accident insurance policy.

COVID19 NOTICE:  The school accident insurance policy does not cover testing and treatment for any illnesses or disease process, including COVID19.  The policy covers injuries due to identifiable covered school accidents.
